Why We Started
We spend a great deal of our lives on teams. Some of us might even spend more time with our colleagues than with family or friends. Shouldn’t we be making the most of these interactions?
“The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives”
-Esther Perel
Teams have the potential to be a place of personal belonging and even a catalyst for societal change. All too often, however, organizations under-invest in these crucial units or leave them entirely to their own devices in pursuit of other priorities. What can arise in turn is an absence of trust, a lack of commitment, and apathy.
Team Labs was formed from the belief that trust and psychological safety are foundational elements for building high-performing teams. Our approach begins with nurturing those elements so that teams can develop stronger bonds, deepened trust, and renewed purpose in their work. Our goal is to make your work a place of refuge that also gets results - where each individual feels their team has their back and your team can collectively reach new heights.
What Makes Us Different?
DEEP-LISTENING: Our approach begins with listening deeply to your unique situation and then validating our understanding constantly. It’s all to easy to jump to conclusions or make assumptions, but it’s in our DNA to regularly check in to ensure we are both talking about the same thing and working toward the same goal.
MEANINGFUL DIALOGUE: Other Team Development Offerings might prefer to follow specific prescribed methods or scripts from trademarked formulas, but we prioritize flexibility over formula, and conversations over lessons. Let’s move beyond the one-size-fits-all mindset and have a meaningful dialogue about your unique challenges and what success looks like to you.
FOLLOW UP: At Team Labs we’re only happy if you’re happy. You will walk away from our workshops with clear action items and owners. Part of our process is to follow up with you to see how things are going, and offer further guidance or support as needed.
